My name is Wesley Wyatt. I am the Fundraising and Stewardship Strategist at Mobile
Baykeeper. We are an environmental advocacy and community engagement organization
located in Mobile, Alabama.
For most of Baykeeper’s 27 years of defending water quality on the Gulf Coast and across
Alabama, we’ve relied on grant funding for most of our needs. In 2020, though, I was hired and
we adjusted our strategy to begin developing a major donor program. DonorSearch had been

We launched our major donor program in 2023. We reached our fundraising goal… our three
year fundraising goal in our first year. Since then, we’ve been able to hire more staff, create new
departments, and improve the impact we have on the health of our coastal waters.
